I am so excited.  I have always wanted to attend one of the conferences but have never had the opportunity.  It is a great time to fellowship, praise God, worship God and all with women around you sharing his love.

Review: "Love and Respect for a Lifetime"

I received "Love and Respect for a Lifetime" by Dr. Emerson Eggrichs to review.  I first thought it was going to be another self help book on relationships, to my surprise it was not.  It was a cute little gift book, full of quotes.  I enjoyed reading this book.  It does give you tips on how to show love and respect to each other but it is not a "this is how it is done" type of book.  My favorite quote from the book is: "It's true that women have intuition and that men should listen to them."

Review: "Hermie: Who is in Charge Anyway?"

I received the video "Hermie: Who is in Charge Anyway?" by Max Lucado.  The video is very cute and geared for younger children, although my daughter, which is 11, really enjoyed it.  We enjoyed the stories and I have always enjoyed Max Lucado's work.  This one is right up there with the rest.

Book Review: God's Promises for Girls

I received "God's Promises...for girls..." by Jack Countryman and Amy Parker to review.  I thought that this was a really cute book.  My daughter instantly started reading it as soon as it came in.  She really enjoyed it.  I asked her what it was about and she said "Mom, its a book of bible verses and stuff."  Do you like it I asked.  "Yes, it is cute.  I like the pictures." Would you recommend the book to your friends? "Yes, I would especially my friends that need to know about God."  

I would have to say she gave it a good review.

Book Review: How A Christian Should Live

"How a Christian Should Live?" is a devotion book for youth. The book has many well known musicians and actors/actresses that do the readings of the bible.  Listening to the CD along with reading it really helps you to comprehend it. Each chapter of the book as activities to do in it,  Hear It, Get it, Grab It, Define It, Hold It, Live It, Give It and Word Games.  I found that it was very easy to comprehend and would hold my attention if I was a youth.  I think that if you have a young Christian needing or struggling on how they should live as a Christian then this book would be perfect for them.

Book Review: Rick and Bubba's

This book was such a fun book to read.  I am a food lover so when it came to reading silly tales about food, I was all in.  I laughed so hard while I was reading this book.

This book is not a cookbook, just a book about eating food.
If you like books that make you laugh and about food, then it is for you.  I don't know if I would try any of the recipes because they are sure full of fatty ingredients.  But over all it was well worth my time to read this book.  They talk about their favorite restaurants like Cracker Barrel.  Who doesn't love Cracker Barrel, Home cooked goodness along with a bit of shopping.

If you want a good laugh from two funny men, then check it out.

Book Review: The Flowering Cross

"The Flowering Cross" by Beth Ryan is a very cute Children's book.  It is about a little girl named Kate. She shows kindness and love to her neighbor about Jesus and the meaning of easter. The pictures are brightly colored. It was easy to read. 
 It has an activity at the end to make your own Flowering Cross table piece. My daughter enjoyed the story. She wants to make her own Flowering Cross now for Easter.   
The book has what the author calls Faith Imprints where it gives you ways to interact with your child and teach them more about what the story of Easter is about. 


 If you have small children they will like this book.

Book Review: Where is God?

I recently received my first book from Book Sneeze to review.  It is titled "Where is God?" by Dr. John Townsend.  


     I enjoyed reading the book. It was an eye opener.  When things in your life seem to go wrong and you are upset, a lot of people will ask that oh so familiar question: "Where is God?"  I know in my life I have asked that and I asked that a lot this past year when things seem to never go right.  This book really helped me put things in perspective on where God is when you feel you need him the most.  My favorite quote from the book was on page 5. "..."Where is God?" is not actually a question they're willing to receive an answer to. It is a protest. It is a statement of how badly they hate what is going on.  It is a desire, a wish, a cry of pain and anguish.  It is an emotional reaction to a great difficulty.  The desire simply says, I want things better." 


If you have a chance pick up the book and give it a read.  You might just learn a few things.
